Happy Sunday, friend. As you prepare for worship this morning, let’s take a moment of quiet to invite God’s presence into your awareness today.
I don’t know where you’re listening from, but where I am, the beauty of fall is truly shining right now. The trees are radiant in color, making the mountains look like art. The crisp air, combined with the leaves, just makes my corner of the world feel very majestic right now. It’s hard for me to encounter such beauty and not respond in worship and awe for the beauty of the world God created.
Romans 1:20 says,
20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
God’s handiwork makes His eternal power and divine nature on constant display for us to see—and it’s in these changing seasons that it really shines. Don’t rush past it today and fail to take in the beautiful works that our Father has made. Remind yourself of what a gift it is to be called a child and friend of the Creator of everything you see.
Let’s pray.
God, thank You for the gift of seasons where we really take notice of Your handiwork. Your creation is beautiful—both in the world and how You’ve created each of us. Let us never lose the wonder of that. Help us to be captivated by that beauty as we sing to You today. Your beauty is all around us. Thank You! It’s in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
